Description :

Feet produce between 20 to 30 gallons of sweat per year, which is a lot of moisture per foot! But where does all this liquid go? Five to eight gallons of this sweat are absorbed by socks and shoes are often soaked with it. The raw material used in the manufacture of your stockings can make all the difference. Avoid 100% cotton stockings. Cotton is a very good absorbent; however, the accumulated humidity remains in contact with your feet. This moisture softens the skin, increases friction and can ultimately cause blisters. Also avoid wool socks. It is a rough fiber, as thick as human hair if not thicker (approximately 80 to 100 microns in diameter) and can cause itching and irritation. It also absorbs humidity, up to 30% of its own weight and the humidity retained by the wool has a very specific smell. Additionally, wool contains lanolin, a recognized allergen that many people are allergic to.

What can you use to keep your feet dry and healthy? Alpaca stockings! Alpaca fiber is naturally hypo-allergenic and lanolin-free. Our therapeutic alpaca stockings are made to promote blood circulation to your foot. Good blood flow maximizes the heat production of your foot and hence, they keep your feet nice and warm. These stockings are particularly stretchy and, of course, comfortable and soft. They are recommended for people with diabetes. Durable and easy to care for, they can be washed in the washer in cold water and air dried.

Composition: 64% alpaca / 27% acrylic / 5% nylon / 4% spandex.
